Connect your accounting system
Connect Sage Intacct, bring in your coding fields, and export coded spend.
Connect your accounting system first, so your GL accounts and other coding fields are in Summit before anyone codes a charge. Only Admins can connect one.
Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is included on the Professional plan and up.
Before you connect, in Sage Intacct:
- Make sure the Web Services subscription is on (Company > Subscriptions).
- Create a Web Services user (Company > Web Services Users) for Summit Spend to sign in as.
- Go to Company > Setup > Company > Security > Authorized client applications. Add Summit Spend's client ID, and set that entry's Web Services user ID to the user from step 2. Summit shows you the client ID, with a copy button, on the connect screen.
Then, in Summit:
- Go to Settings > Accounting > ERP connection and click Connect on Sage Intacct.
- Enter the Web Services username in the form
WS_USER@company-id. - Click Sync fields from Sage Intacct to bring in GL accounts, locations, departments, projects, classes, customers, vendors and charge cards.
- If your company has more than one entity, choose the Posting entity.
- Map each card to its Sage charge card in Settings > Cards & receipts > Card owners. A card that isn't mapped will fail to export.
To send receipt images along with each charge, set up Receipt attachment sync on the same page.
QuickBooks Online
QuickBooks Online is in beta. Email support@summitspend.com before you connect it.
Procore
Procore pay app review is part of Summit's Construction module. Ask Summit to turn the module on, then an Admin connects Procore from Settings > Accounting > ERP connection with Connect Procore.
Choose your coding fields
Go to Settings > Accounting > Accounting fields to choose which fields people see, which are required, and whether each shows on the web and in the mobile app. You can rename a field to match what your team calls it, and import values from a CSV.
Export coded spend
Charges that are coded, approved and complete wait on the Accounting page under Ready to sync.
- Click Export to Sage to send them, or Download CSV or Export with Receipts (ZIP) to export a file.
- If any fail, Retry N Failed sends them again once you've fixed the cause. See Sync and export errors.
Automatic export. To send charges to Sage as soon as they're approved and coded, go to Settings > Summit AI, find Export to Sage Intacct, and turn on Automatic export. It's off until you turn it on.
