Duplicate and unusual charges
Review charges that might be duplicates, and charges Summit flags as unusual.
Possible duplicates
When two charges look like the same purchase, Summit lists the newer one for review.
- On Transactions, click Duplicates. The number on the button is how many are waiting.
- Open one to compare the Transaction to Review with the Existing Transaction. Summit shows which details are the same and which are different: amount, date, cardholder, card, GL account, memo and receipt.
- Choose Yes, it's a duplicate or Not a duplicate.
Confirmed duplicates are kept out of exports to Sage Intacct. If you can't see the buttons, ask an admin or manager to decide.
Unusual spend (Anomalies)
The Anomalies page in the left menu lists charges that look out of the ordinary for your company, such as an unusually large amount, a sudden burst of charges or a merchant you haven't used before. Anomalies is included on the Professional plan and up.
Review an alert. Each alert shows the charge, its severity and why it was flagged. Click View to open the charge. When you're done, click Resolve, add a note if you like, and click Confirm.
Set it up (admins).
- Go to Anomalies. If there are no detection rules yet, click Set Up Default Rules.
- Under Detection Rules, turn individual rules on or off.
- Turn on Automatic Scanning to check charges as they sync. With it off, alerts only appear when someone clicks Run detection.
