My receipt didn't show up

Emailed receipts that never arrive, receipts that don't match, duplicates and lost receipts.

I emailed a receipt and it never showed up

Almost always, it was sent from a different address than the one you sign in with. Summit matches emailed receipts by the sender, and a receipt from any other address is dropped. Nothing bounces back to tell you.

  1. Check which email you sign in with.
  2. Send or forward the receipt to receipts@summitspend.com from that exact address.
  3. Don't use a personal account or an automatic forwarding rule. Forward it by hand from your work address.

If it still doesn't arrive, ask your admin whether receipt forwarding is turned on (Settings > Cards & receipts > Receipt & bill email).

My receipt arrived but isn't on the charge

Open Receipts and check the Unmatched and Suggested filters. Summit attaches a receipt on its own only when it's sure of the match: the same amount, a date within a few days, and a similar merchant. Otherwise it waits for you. Open the receipt and pick the charge, or open the charge and pick the receipt.

What files can I send?

Photos (JPEG, PNG, GIF), PDFs and forwarded emails, up to 10 MB each by email. If an email has no attachment, the email itself becomes the receipt.

Summit says my receipt is a possible duplicate

It matches a file already uploaded. Open it and choose Confirm Duplicate or Not a Duplicate.

I lost the receipt

If your company allows waivers, open the charge in the mobile app and tap I don't have a receipt (Android: Request receipt waiver). An approver reviews it. You can't approve your own waiver.
